En Q-tech estamos buscando un perfil de Chief Digital Officer, para un consolidado Grupo Editorial de periódicos online de ámbito local en Catalunya, como parte del desarrollo, expansión y consolidación del negocio Digital.
Su función principal será diseñar, planear y ejecutar la estrategia Digital del Grupo, trabajando de la mano con el CEO de la compañía y liderando un pequeño equipo de soporte en el área de marketing y producto, así como contratando nuevas figuras clave alineadas con el roadmap establecido.
Como CDO liderarás la estrategia de producto y marketing a través de un pensamiento basado en datos para llevar el negocio hacia un aumento de rentabilidad, así como analizar y obtener información sobre mercados, clientes, usuarios, canales, productos, estrategia de ventas y operaciones todo ello basado en una sólida experiencia en el mundo del periodismo digital.
Responsabilidades:
La posición de CDO engloba como tal una serie de funciones, pero no se limita a ellas. Como CDO serás el vértice de la pirámide digital, de producto, márketing y operaciones, y entre otras, sus funciones serán:

The Role
As we are developing the project from scratch, we can use this huge opportunity to define best practices and choose a modern stack. Libraries and decisions are made as a team and always from a practical approach.
A Python developer interested in learning Go would be welcome (the company will cover the costs of the initial training).
Work mode: remote, with the idea of coming to the office once every 15 days or every month.

About their technical stack…
Their SAAS is a microservices platform deployed in GCP through Kubernetes (GKE) with around 50% of their services in NodeJS (plain JS and Typescript) and 50% in Java Spring Boot.
Their Frontends are written in ReactJS + Redux and use a BFF pattern with GraphQL in NodeJS.
Their NodeJS microservices are quite spread in the different Domains of the organization. Some of them are pure microservices and others are API gateways or GraphQL BFFs. Some are written in plain JS and others in Typescript.
Who are they looking for?
They are looking for a Fullstack Javascript Engineer who has more than 5 years of experience, having worked for a product company and having successfully deployed and maintained NodeJS microservices and ReactJS frontends in production at least 3 years.
