Data Governance Consultant

 

Our client is a worldwide leader in information governance and data modernisation solutions.

They deliver data solutions to help organisations maximise their business value returns from their on-going technology investments.

Their Data Governance approach is focused around orchestrating the elements critical to governance, and our solutions extend beyond traditional MDM tools to enable complete business process governance across all application data in an enterprise.

Digital Transformation is currently seeking for people within 5 to 10 years’ experience to join the Data Governance Team.

The chosen candidates will be trained in our client’s Data Stewardship platform. You will be a self-starter, have a passion for new technology and a career in data quality / data governance.

This role is to deliver excellence in technical implementation and ongoing end-user support for our data governance solutions.

 

Role: Data Governance Consultant

Duration: Permanent

Location: Madrid

Role Responsibilities:

After an initial period of training you will be equipped to deliver technical solutions on data governance projects and:

Demonstrate a strong understanding of our client’s Data Governance and Data Quality methodologies.

Be proficient in our client’s Data Governance / Data Quality toolsets.

Develop, test and implement defect fixes and new functionality.

Work to established development standards and best practices.

Communicate directly with clients to understand requirements and resolve incidents.

Demonstrate a good understanding of business processes for SAP Material Master, Vendor Master and Customer Master data objects.

Report KPIs and statuses to our client’s project management.

Maintain related documentation.

Support and mentor junior colleagues

 

Key requirements:

Degree level qualification in Computer Science (or other technology related field)

Experience in several of the following areas:

Data Governance / Data Quality / ETL

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

SQL

Experience with development and code promotion methodologies

Functional SAP for Material Master, Vendor Master/Customer Master Objects

Databases SQL Server, Oracle etc.

MS Office Excel / Word / Access

Strong written and spoken English

 

Package:

Salary in line with market + performance related bonus.

You will be largely based at one of our client’s offices in Madrid. Some international travel may be required to visit their other offices, customers, partners, SAP and conferences.

Nuestro cliente es una compañía de tecnología, propietaria (desarrollo y operaciones) de varios paquetes de software para despachos profesionales. Con sede en Barcelona (Sant Cugat) y Madrid, es líder en su sector y está constantemente innovando para mejorar tecnológica y funcionalmente sus productos y servicios.

Buscamos un Jefe de Proyectos Senior (PMO o Program Manager siempre que sea suficientemente 'hands on') para gestionar una serie de proyectos de software, que deberá enfocar tanto al corto (proyectos, entregas y equipos) como al largo plazo en cuanto a la estrategia tecnológica y de personal de la compañía.

Deberá ser indispensable aportar experiencia en puestos similares, tener un background tecnológico de proyectos de Software (preferiblemente en base Java) y demostrar una serie de competencias enfocadas a la gestión de personas y proyectos.

Aportar experiencia, conocimiento y soltura en la aplicación de metodologías ágiles será muy valorado.

Obviamente certificaciones tipo PMP no dejan de ser un activo importante.

Es importante que el candidato conozca bien el ciclo de vida de desarrollo de Software especialmente con responsabilidad sobre producto (implantaciones, cambios de versión, gestión incidental, seguridad...)

La base de clientes, presupuesto y recursos es muy sólida y estable para definir proyectos; pero en el área de peticiones, imprevistos, clientes, necesidades hay mucha variabilidad. La flexibilidad será un punto de foco en el perfil.

Esta variabilidad implica la necesidad de que el candidato aporte capacidad de gestión de personas de forma asertiva y a la vez firme.

Debe ser fuente de motivación al equipo de profesionales para llegar a la 'extra mile' necesario. Parte de la clave del perfil reside en este punto motivacional, exigente y solidario.

Mostrará una amplia orientación al cliente y tolerancia a los cambios (incluso bruscos), su responsabilidad residirá en un equipo de 30 personas con varios proyectos de diversas índoles, tamaños y velocidades.

El puesto de trabajo puede ser en Madrid o en Barcelona en función de las preferencias del candidato.

 

Reportará directamente a Dirección de Software.

Requisits bàsics

.-Conocimientos de entornos de desarrollo y ciclo de vida de software de producto, especialmente en entorno Java

.-Conocimientos y experiencia con varias metodologías de trabajo enfocado a proyectos, especialmente Agile.

.-Experiencia de 4 a 6 años en posiciones 'hands on'.

.-Experiencia de 3 años como analista funcional, arquitecto, technical lead y/o jefe de proyecto.

.-Capacidad de trabajo 'hands on'

.-Experiencia como Multi Project / Program Manager en posiciones y/o empres similares

.-Experiencia en gestión de equipos de más de 20 personas

.-Se valorarán positivamente certificaciones (ITIL, PMP, Scrum ...)

Our client is a leading global digital platform in its business area – nearly 40 million users a month and rising.

The position is based in the company’s Barcelona office. Travelling at least twice a month to the company’s other European office will be required.

 You will form part of the global leadership team and report directly to the CEO.

 

  • You will be responsible for establishing the Company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the Company’s technology development and implementation. The CTO will be the Company's top technology executive, playing an integral role in the Company’s strategic direction, development and future growth.

    Responsibilities:
  • Rapidly assimilate and enrich the Company’s current software engineering processes
  • Lead the development and execution of the technology architecture, platform and roadmap
  • Manage all technology partnerships and external relationships
  • Provide visible leadership for the Company within the technology community
  • Act as the Company spokesperson for any technology related matters
  • Anticipate and react to major technology changes to ensure the maintenance of company leadership in the competitive landscape
  • Establish technical standards and ensure adherence to them for product development and Company operations.
  • Coordinate technical development with other departments (marketing, content, sales, product, etc.)
  • You will lead and grow team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development ( currently 60 distributed in two development offices)
  • Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with the company values
  • Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices
  • Define and implement engineering best practices and strategies, while tracking key metrics for quality and team performance that results in continuous improvement.
  • Actively lead engineering teams and collaborate with CPO, product team, technical leads, individual contributors, and other leaders in the organization.
  • Own and insure timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs.
Requisits bàsics

Experience to be able to realize all the afore-mentioned responsibilities.

  • At least 5 years’ experience managing multidisciplinary development teams of more than 30 (geographically dispersed would be a plus) in a digital online environment/company
  • Expertise with agile product development
  • Diverse technical background with a good sense for where technology is moving
  • Experience with cloud services (e.g. Amazon AWS, Azure)
  • Good understanding of software architecture, HA, distributed systems & performance
  • Expertise in any of the following is a plus: Core or Standard.Net, PHP, Reactnative
  • Experience and expertise in creating or contributing to test plans/metrics to insure maximum quality.
